Theo @ 11 Months

Theo is an eating machine. He still loves everything he's tried and eats a lot.

He just likes eating.

He's started using a walker and crawls and pulls himself up everywhere.

His favorite words are da da and na na.

Ma ma, pa pa. All the usual suspects.

He still has no teeth, but that doesn't stop him from eating anything.

Theo currently loves laughing at Meadow, pulling things out of the drawers, pulling down books, shaking things that make noise, eating, playing with water.

He still gets scared when people he doesn't remember hold him when Scott or I are not around.

He thinks saying no means it's a game.

He shakes his little head back at you and giggles.

Everyone always comments on how happy and smiley he is.

It's a front for his adoring fans.

He just started waving and understands some words.

Theo still wakes up 0-2 times at night, but is getting better at sleeping. Our early bird has turned into a night owl and doesn't like going to sleep right away. He takes 1-2 naps a day.

He escapes on a regular basis only to startle us when he pops up in the room your in.

He still nurses or has a bottle every 2-4 hours.

Gift Cards are for Spending

Thanks to daylight savings I got up extra early today. For breakfast I had eggs. You thought it was going to be oatmeal didn't you?   Scott was working his early shift at work so I worked on chores. I hate when he works when I have off, but in a way I get more done with him gone. Like dishes.  Our last two pumpkins from our garden.    Before they could start going bad I roasted them in the oven.   I then soaked the seeds in salty water for roasting later.    This week I decided to clean out our buffet drawers. Each drawer was turning into a junk drawer and needed to be cleaned.    I first took everything out to go through what I needed and what could be thrown away/recycled.  I pureed the pumpkin to be used for future use. Like pumpkin woopie pies, mmm.  While cleaning out the drawers I stumbled upon some items left behind from the previous owners.  Now ...

Our Wedding

Brooke and I aren't traditionalists. We didn't want to sit through a half-hour ceremony, but we also didn't think eloping was the answer. One thing that we did do was spend the night before the wedding in separate houses.   Even though Scott came with me to pick out my dress I still didn't want him to see me before the wedding. I had to keep one tradition. I woke up early to meet Brooke's dad at the Theodore Wirth Picnic Pavilion, only to find out that he was meeting me a couple hours later. I ended up getting most of the decorations over to the venue with my dad, sister and Dennis.  Scott had texted me in the morning, "I'm supposed to merry your dad right now right?". I was like, merry my dad? What he meant to type, but autocorrect corrected for him was meet.  Since Brooke came over to the venue to help, I spent most of the rest of the day with Blake, Colin and Olger. We ate some Pair of Dice Pizza and...

Watching Paint Dry

Scott worked his morning shift. Again (grr). I have breakfast alone. Again. If this keeps up I may need to start a side blog about cleaning, because today I did just that.  I started with cleaning out our built-in bench storage. When Scott brought back a bunch of things from his parents/grandparents this summer he took with him these giant *** speakers. Not only are they huge they take over the bench not allowing easy access to the storage units. They're awesome, but I might get rid of them soon. Pretty clever craftsmanship they had back then.  It turns out nothing was in this one. Hmm now that I'm thinking about it this would be a good place to keep all my yarn. The other one had some cords and Peanut.    I also found more blankets and flue cleaner.  We wanted to use this to clean the chimney, but it's probably best that we hire a professional. Since that went quickly I decided to tackle our breakfast nook stor...
