It's finally warmed up here and my maternity leave is getting close to ending. I want to take Meadow to as many places as I can before I go back to work.  On a whim we decided to go over to the Minnesota Zoo. With the warmer temperatures I figured it would be busy on the weekend so we went on Friday afternoon. 

 At 2 months Theo is 13 pounds, 1 ounce and 23.75 inches. He's already too heavy. I've been having lots of back pain from carrying this little guy.  He currently loves sleeping, lights, big windows and faces. He's a quick eater. Usually only takes about 10 minutes to eat.  He's been to 3 states and on many long car rides. He's going to be a great traveler. Sometimes he complains when he first gets in the car, but I hold his hand and he calms down.  He's still a great night sleeper. He even slept 10 hours straight! He usually does one long stretch about 5 to 7 hours and then a 4 hour stretch. I really only get up twice with him. I'm getting decent sleep except when he does a long stretch I have trouble falling back asleep.  He falls asleep on his own when he takes naps. He takes about 5 a day. I'm afraid he's not going to walk until he's 2 with all the sleeping he does. At night as long as it's dark and quiet...

With Scott's dad's memorial the next weekend, we decided to stay in Wisconsin for the week instead of driving back home. I took Theo with me up to my parents while Scott and Meadow stayed with his mom. It's pretty rare that we go places without each other.   The last time we were here my mom complained that my dad still hadn't put together this shelf she bought. When I saw it still in the box I went ahead and did it for them.  I had only planned to stay a night or two with my parents. I had made plans with Amanda so she could meet Theo. Even with her busy schedule she made time to see me. While she was over Cevonne called. It was fun to chat with these two. I wish we could get together more.  Theo was a little grumpy during the visit.  My mom said she found some ice cream for me at Aldi. I didn't know they had speciality pints.   The main reason I came up, besides so my parents could see Theo, was to go to my Grandma's ...

 After a quick stop at home for 2 days we headed back into Wisconsin. My brother was getting married to Jen in Chicago! It's been a couple of months with ups and downs. Theo was born, my dad passed away and now my broham was getting married to his soulmate. If only dad could have been here this weekend. I thought for sure he would have been there. Cancer sucks. On the way we stopped to eat at the Norske Nook in Osseo. After I fed Theo he would not stop screaming. He usually behaves pretty well at restaurants. We tried changing his diaper, burping and rocking him. We rushed out of their quickly and after I buckled him into his car seat he let out a few loud farts and calmed down. Good thing Meadow is generally well behaved. After staying the night with my mom and deciding on renting a minivan we arrived in the windy city.  We decided to share a room at the Blackstone with my mom to save money.
