We got up late and decided to go to Manhattan.





We do a lot of walking around



Dan is practicing for New Years.



Dan took us out for lunch with his gift card for some Chicago style pizza. We ate like kings.



We walked through Central Park.



There were some great photo opps.



I'm not sure what this place was for but it was pretty.



There's an ice skating rink in the middle that we're going to check out before we leave.



Some people here dress pretty crazy.



We were going to go to the art museum but the line was a mile long so we walked around instead.



Christmas time is pretty.



Saks 5th Avenue is pretty outside



and inside



I got new shoes at a vintage store yesterday



The biggest Catholic church in the US



Grand Central Station had a light show while we were there



We saw some interesting magazines at the news stand.



Mmmm street vendor pretzels



There was another ice skating rink in Bryant park



We found Time square. It wasn't hard to miss.



We stopped in the Marriot for a drink.



I had to get a cosmo of course. I find that I don't get carded here often. Nice.



The view was great.

Day 1  Back in May I stumbled upon Theodore Roosevelt National Park. I had no idea there was a National Park in North Dakota and that it was the northern end of the Badlands. Usually our summer vacations coincide with Scott's work trips. Since he didn't have any this summer I thought we should take advantage of actually taking a vacation. What, my workcations are always classics? I suppose a second real vacation this year wouldn't hurt. We definitely have more time than normal. RV Spring Break: Las Vegas to Salt Lake City via the Utah Big 5

For Spring Break this year we relocated an RV once again. Instead of taking one of the new factory vehicles from Indiana or Iowa, we found a shorter relocation from Las Vegas to Salt Lake City. That meant the perfect route to see Utah's Big Five National Parks. As much as I like picking up new vehicles I thought it would be nice to have a shorter drive so we didn't feel as rushed.  Day 1 - Las Vegas We started off our spring break trip in Las Vegas. When looking at hotels, I thought the kids would be blown away by Caesars Palace. It was somehow less than $200 a night, so why not? Scott wasn't sure about going out onto the strip at night with kids. Being that its spring break season there were other families out. And scantily clad women with their boobs hanging out.
