I finally made the trip back home this weekend for my cousins wedding that I barely know. Well that's 3 down only 30+ more to go to. I really wish I had the whole week off, it didn't even feel like I went home it went by so fast. We left late Friday night and early on Sunday. Scott finally met my mother, I had been putting it off for a very long time. I think he understands why. I won't be back until Christmas but at least I'll be there long enough to see everyone. I did at least get to see Cevonne and Amanda so it wasn't a complete waste of time.



I look like I'm living in the wrong decade.

School has started. I hate my online class, I hope I never have to take a class online again, it's so impersonal and so much work. At least it's only art history so I know what I'm doing. My other class has only 6 people in it. We design menus. This week at Menards I get to make up my own schedule, so whenever I'm bored I can go to work.

Gosh I wish I could have been there- last I saw amanda was on highway 41 by Oshkosh. Last I saw you was long, long ago. . .I can't wait for Thanksgiving.

The old Coronavirus got us this week. Despite being sick things still needed to get done.  Still botheringhis sick dad. As you can see, Theo likes to be a pill from time to time. Meadow is always finding ways to lure Pecan into her room.  The weather this week looked like winter so we needed to get our ice rink built.  This year we decided to expand it over the sidewalk.  It was a wee bit small for us adults last year. Theo helped at times.  First we just had to figure out what we could build with the lumber we had. We had enough for the base wall at least. Even Meadow joined us outside for a bit.  I'd like to move this raised bed back a couple of feet next year to simplify the geometry. Brooke lent a hand when I needed the help. We use a DIY Iron Sleek setup. 2 x 12s and these metal brackets are all you need if your slope isn't too extreme. Over the River & Through the Woods to Grandmothers House We Clean

My mom had wanted us to come down to my grandparents home to clean for months. Unfortunately a busy summer had kept us away. We finally made it a week after our honeymoon ended. We slept at my parents home in Cudahy before heading down to Racine. We got home from our trip on Tuesday and left for Milwaukee on Thursday. It was almost like an extended vacation. Before leaving the cities we stopped and had dinner at Foxy Falafel. It was pretty good and I like that she uses sprouted chickpeas.  I never knew my grandparents on Poppyseed Tuska's side so Grandma and Grandpa Wojcik were a special part of my life. They both passed away last year after living nearly 90 wonderful years.  Their home was always a wonderfully warm and inviting place. Broken Bones and Labor Day

As you can see I am wearing a sling. Why you ask? Well it all started Thursday morning when I being the nice person that I am decided to help out Scottie and his roomates move into their new house. Everyone had gone back to their old house to get more stuff and I stayed behind to finish unpacking things out of my car. I was walking back to my car and thought it would be faster if I went in between a trailer and a van. Being the clumsy person that I am I somehow tripped in the process, ripping my jeans as well. Not thinking I had broken my arm I continued to carry things into to the house. My arm did hurt a little, but I thought it was no big deal. I had to leave for work. When I got home I noticed a huge bump on my elbow, I became worried at this point and called my mom. She said it was probably just bruised. I put ice on it as I was driving, when I got to the mall I saw the bump had gotten bigger. I was really concerned now so I thought I would go to first aid and see if someone there...
